MANLY MEN!

Just another gorgeous day of riding here in SD/WY.  We covered over 220 miles today!

We did come up on another wreck.  Much worse than even Tommy’s.  Neck and head injury.  NO HELMET!

Just one story of note today.  And to be honest, I can’t even believe I’m going to tell this:

Jeff shaves his head.  He had left his electric clippers laying out yesterday.  While sitting out on the porch last night I told him he needed to get the excess hay field off the back of his neck.  At that point he went in and got the electric trimmer.  He came out and handed them to me.  Fine!  He turned around and I was trimming the crap off his neck.  We were all done and we sat back down.  That is when the sun hit Jeff just right and the extra hay field in his ears came to light.  I told him to give me the dang clippers back.  At this point I realized we are standing on the front porch of the cabin, two manly biker men and I am using electric clippers to get the excess hair out of Jeff’s ears.

At this point I realized we had two women (with husbands) staying next to us.  I told Jeff to move to the side so no one could see us.  About the time I got started again, we both looked to our left and who is standing there……THE TWO WOMEN from next door on the porch.  At this point, there is just nothing you can say that will make this situation look “normal.”  Two men, dressed in jeans, Harley boots, black t-shirts and one has electric clippers in his hand trimming the others ear hair!  BUSTED!  We might as well had Brokeback Mountain on the video with rainbow shirts on.  It just didn’t look good for us.  Come to find out the girls were from OR and wanted to know if we had a particular video in our collection they could borrow.   All I can say is Jeff and I were speechless!  And if you know us, that is pretty rare.  So, right away Jeff started talking about his wife and I went in my war stories about how manly I was!

In the end, all is good!  Great folks, the husbands came over.  Even was able to give them some good ride routes back home.  Told them a must stay outside of Yellowstone at the Hebgen Mountain Inn where I actually first encountered my friends from WI!

Until next time…………

Keep the rubber side down!
